Ten—year-old Varvara Smorodina is a real child prodigy, an extremely intelligent and well-read girl. She knows all about criminology and dreams of becoming an outstanding detective like her grandfather. Varvara's catchphrase is "Curious!". Arriving for the summer at his grandparents in the village of Riding, Varya is faced with a lot of mysterious crimes and undertakes investigations together with his new friend, the simple—minded village boy Vasya. It turns out that there are many secrets and unusual incidents in the quiet village!
