Ray Bolger, one of showbusiness's most esteemed dancing comedians, stars in his own program, “Washington Square,” a series of 17 one-hour “live” color episodes. ‘Washington Square’ has a continued storyline, with the same main characters running throughout the series, Mr. Bacher explained, “somewhat like a theatrical Our Town.” Ray Bolger will be the entrepreneur of a theatrical community in which various colorful personalities live who aspire to success in show business. They may work uptown, but they live in Washington Square. One of these aspirants to fame emerge some of our future stars.
