Shu Cheng, the daughter of the prestigious Shu family, is forced to disguise herself as a frivolous playgirl to conceal her talents, which pose a threat to the Emperor. She aims to elevate the remarkable Shen Ye to the status of a yiji, a high-class courtesan, but soon discovers that Shen Ye has multiple identities, making it challenging to differentiate allies from adversaries.
