This work is based on kendo and depicts the growth of the boy swordsman Natsuki Musashi in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. The story is divided into elementary school and high school, and from episode 1 to episode 49 is "Shonen Edition", and from episode 50 to episode 72 is "Youth Edition".
