Meryem lost her family on a refugee boat that sank near the island of Kos while fleeing the war in Aleppo. Ibrahim, a coast guard chief who is about to retire, helps Meryem, who was the only survivor of the accident. Ibrahim retires, marries Meryem, and they settle in Bozdoğan. Unable to overcome the trauma she experienced, Meryem wants to visit the sea and the shore where she lost her family every day. A voice inside her keeps whispering that she belongs there. Every time Ibrahim says no, she starts looking for other ways. However, out of gratitude and loyalty to Ibrahim, she must find a way that does not betray him.
