Cemal, a young child, begins living in Germany with his mother after his father's death. The events have deeply affected his mother's mental health. The family also struggles with financial difficulties during this period. Cemal's teacher, believing that he deserves better living conditions, contacts social services. Treatment is initiated for his mother, and Cemal stays at the institution during this time. However, after his mother's suicide attempt, Cemal is placed with a foster family in a different region of Germany. Cemal's only dream is to return to his mother's side.
