The Carpathians span over 190,000 sq. km. of wilderness across 7 countries, including Poland, Slovakia, Romania, and Ukraine. The vast untamed region is home to most of Europe's surviving large carnivores and its last great forest. More than half of this ancient mountain range lies within modern-day Romania. British journalist Charlie Ottley takes viewers through the land where, for millennia, the man had lived in harmony with nature, but today that delicate balance is under threat from neglect and ruthless exploitation.
