The story is about two governors of Linjiang County who were killed by a python during the Qing Dynasty. The two guards, Su Beg Er and Tie Qiao San, were ordered to Linjiang County to investigate the python murder case. The two came to Linjiang City, and found that the local worship of python gods, the people are in dire straits. The two are isolated and join the Beggar's Gang to hide their identities
