A court in the Republic of China sentences Spanish citizen Luis Ortega to six years in prison for illegal diamond trafficking. After serving his sentence, Luis is repatriated. From Barajas, he tries to locate his partner Rita Fernández, but is unsuccessful. Rita has rebuilt her life and works in an important art gallery where she meets an English dealer, with whom she falls in love. However, Luis locates Rita and shows up at the gallery. He blackmails her into disappearing again, but the situation becomes more complicated, and Luis makes her life miserable.
