Paul is a gifted boy and his parents Gesine and Uwe are proud of him. One day Gesine meets a former neighbor: Kathrin, who, like Gesine, gave birth to a child seven years ago, but lost the baby in a tragic house fire shortly afterwards. Gesine finds Kathrin's behavior strange. And indeed, a short time later Kathrin announces that she recognizes her son Robin in Paul. In her search for proof of her claim, she tyrannizes the wealthy picture-book family, sneaking around the house at night. And nothing and no one can dissuade her from her conviction... The archaic battle of two mothers for a child - a brilliantly acted, gripping psychological thriller full of drama.
