Only at the age of 19 does Paul learn from his mother that his father Klaus Merbold did not die in India, but rather lives in the same city. Paul wants to be recognized as his father's son and meets him. Klaus Merbold, however, is not very pleased. Paul tries to win over his wife and daughter Susa, who know nothing about him. But the situation escalates as Susa falls in love with her half-brother.
