Mantili, Si Pembunuh

DirectorsAskur Zain, B.Z. Kadaryono

1972

Mantili (Jeffry Sani) tries to free the people of his village from the extortion of the landowner Sarbini (Hadisjam Tahax). Because of this effort, Sarbini tries to get rid of Mantili using various underhanded tactics. Among other things, Mantili is accused of killing one of Sarbini’s men during a party that ended in a brawl. Mantili is then imprisoned for five years. After serving his sentence, Mantili returns home, stopping to visit his teacher along the way. His teacher entrusts him with a magical staff. Although he has no intention of seeking revenge, Sarbini sends hired killers after him, making a confrontation inevitable—especially after Mantili learns that his mother was raped and killed by Sarbini. Mantili is tortured. His fellow student, Muis (Daud Modas), appeared and, together with the people, wiped out Sarbini’s gang.
