It tells the story of a family's life in a village in Negeri Sembilan. Hj Dawi and Hjh Embun have a son, Bujang, in his early twenties. Bujang's real name is Mohd Rafi, named after Hj Dawi's excessive interest in the 1960s Hindustani singer Mohd Rafi. Being an only child, Rafi is given excessive indulgence and luxury by Hajah Embun and Haji Dawi. As a result, Bujang becomes very spoiled and unable to be independent. Upon reaching adulthood, Bujang falls in love. However, Bujang's attitude makes his girlfriend Mastura frustrated. This attitude persists even after Bujang marries Mastura.
