# Mata Hati Ibu (A Mother's Heart) The story revolves around Embun (Norlia Ghani), who is destined to become blind due to hereditary blindness when she reaches 40 years old. Embun's husband, Salim, has abandoned Embun along with their son Aris (Mustaqim Bahadon) and Rizal (Riz Amin), an adopted son whom she has raised since childhood. Salim cannot accept the reality of Embun becoming blind. Embun raises both Aris and Rizal while being blind. As Aris and Rizal grow into adulthood, Aris is constantly haunted by his father's words that his fate will be the same as Embun's—hereditary blindness. Aris is fearful and secretly begins to accumulate wealth through illegal means for his future and Embun's future, without Embun's or Rizal's knowledge. Aris is determined to bring Embun to live with him in Kuala Lumpur, and Rizal feels neglected as he realizes he is merely an adopted son living on Embun's kindness.
