Bam, a 21-year-old recent graduate, is about to begin her working life in Bangkok. After avoiding questions about returning home for a long time, she decides to return to her hometown in Isan to visit her grandmother. Her return makes Bam realize that her grandmother has grown old and is no longer as strong as she remembers. At the same time, she meets Nuan, a young woman from the village who has been helping to care for her grandmother. A feeling of being replaced slowly begins to take hold. Bam is forced to confront the question she has avoided for so long: should she stay and care for the person she loves, or leave to begin a life of her own?
