Hinako, a nurse, is married to Kichisaburo—a man prone to drunken, jealous rages who beats and kicks her whenever he is intoxicated, often forcing her into humiliating sexual acts afterward. Ashamed of her marriage, Hinako had never confided in anyone, but after the head nurse, Mayuno, spotted the bruises covering her body, she finally revealed the truth.
