The story is about sacrifice and challenges in love as well as the life transformation of the main character named Raes. Raes is depicted as striving earnestly to find the true path in life when Yazid is confirmed dead after they are involved in a road accident. Raes decides to seek guidance by studying at a religious boarding school and disappoints his lover, Latifah. Raes convinces Latifah that if it is destined, they will surely meet again. Raes gets to know Damiah, a girl whom he saved when she was drowning. Damiah, however, is haunted by a past involving her stepbrother, Sufian, who frequently attempts to molest her until Damiah eventually falls victim to Sufian's abuse. Raes tries to conceal Damiah's disgrace by marrying her. Latifah is devastated when she is confirmed to have bone cancer. She demands Raes's promise to marry her.
