Umar's story, who works at a carpet shop, has fallen in love with Waiduri, the daughter of his customer. However, there is something preventing their love. The story begins by introducing the character of Umar who works at a carpet shop owned by Mr. Syed while his mother, Mak Cik Bibah opens a wedding supplies store. Ayu, an acquaintance of Umar who works at a nearby shop, often goes out to eat with Umar and has feelings for him. Datin Suria orders a carpet from Mr. Syed's shop and Umar catches sight of Datin's daughter, Waiduri, which captivates him with her beauty. Umar is delighted when he has met Waiduri several times over matters concerning his mother's carpet order. Dato' Sulaiman, the husband of Datin Suria is shocked when he bumps into Mak Cik Bibah who is his estranged former lover. Datin Suria confronts Mak Cik Bibah and subsequently cancels her carpet order with Mr. Syed.
