Tsuzuki had left the yakuza life behind to live as an honest salaryman and was even considering marriage to his girlfriend, Mayumi. One day, however, he agreed to temporarily hold onto a handgun for a senior yakuza associate. When he visited Mayumi’s apartment after work, he found her being assaulted by an ex-boyfriend who had been stalking her. Tsuzuki aimed the gun at the man but accidentally killed Mayumi instead.
