# Sanctuary Café The story follows a resilient village girl named Aisha. Aisha, or Aish, loses her family in an accident. Because of this, she almost becomes a victim of sexual assault by her own uncle who wants to claim the family's wealth. Aish flees to Kuala Lumpur to start a new life. While working at a general store, Aish meets Ashrafi (Ash), a mysterious man who frequently buys lollipops and cat food from the shop. After learning about Aish's financial struggles to survive in the city, Ash invites her to work at his own café. The workers at Ash's café, Sanctuary Café, each have their own dark secrets. They are given the opportunity by Ash to rebuild their lives as employees at his café. Aish, who shares the same dream as the other workers, accepts Ash's offer. Ash often helps Aish adjust to life in Kuala Lumpur. One day, Aish jokingly offers to become Ash's wife so that he doesn't have to help her find a place to live anymore.
