Set between 1993 and 1998. Based on a true story, the narrative is about Anwar's firm and consistent refusal of various forms of allowances and cash from certain parties while serving in the government as Minister of Finance. It also depicts how Anwar was reluctant to use public funds to bail out companies owned by the children of certain leaders that suffered losses of billions of ringgit. Because of this, he was slandered through a massive conspiracy, dismissed, brutally beaten in prison and left without medical treatment for several days. From a respected finance minister who successfully freed Malaysia from the shackles of debt, he ultimately ended up languishing in prison.
