After marrying Syawal Fitri (Remy Ishak), Janet (Danielle Sya) embraces Islam and is subsequently abandoned by her family. However, her life becomes even more difficult when Syawal's mother, Puan Sri Rafidah (Khalidah Atlibah), is determined to torment her daughter-in-law. Every step Janet takes—now known as Jannah—is never right; there is always something wrong. Her hatred of Jannah drives her to force her son to marry again, this time to a woman of her choosing, Munirah (Puteri Sarah). Syawal agrees and accepts Munirah, but he never suspects that his new wife is merely pretending to be good. His marriage to Munirah will bring turmoil between Syawal and Jannah. In order to deepen her understanding of her new religion, Jannah takes the initiative to study and in the process, she meets Zakri (Ezaidi Aziz), one of the facilitators at her learning center. Zakri sympathizes with Jannah's plight and at the same time harbors feelings for her.
