A documentary about American journalist Edgar Snow's experiences in China, made up of footage he personally shot in the 1930s and during his 1964 and 1966 trips to the country, paired with archival materials supplied by the Central Newsreel Studio. Snow was a groundbreaking reporter who introduced the world at large to Mao's communist revolution through his seminal book, Red Star Over China.
