It's the height of promposal season and everyone at Small Town High School is dying to know which lucky lady will get asked by star lax bro Jax McCauley. But when the school gossips out him as gay, Jax finds himself peer pressured into dating the only other gay kid in school... even though they have nothing in common, and Jax is secretly in love with his best friend, Miller. This coming-of-age satire pokes fun at the way queer characters and romances are typically presented in mainstream media, while also aiming to normalize rather than sensationalize coming out.
