'Return' is a poetic and deeply personal documentary about identity, belonging, and the search for one’s place. It follows artist Mike Årsjö, adopted from Chile and raised in a remote village in Papua New Guinea, where he was given the name “Sawiyano Ta.” As an adult in Sweden, he feels divided between two worlds. After a personal crisis, he returns to the village, embarking on an emotional journey of reunion, memory, and confronting change—exploring roots, reconciliation, and the universal longing to belong.
