Wilderness and Spirit includes the first recorded footage of the Katahdin 100 Run of the Penobscot people, and the only footage of Earl Shaffer (the first person to ever complete an Applachian Trail Thru Hike) revisiting his historic climb up Katahdin on the 50th anniversary of his achievement.
