Love Triumphs

Nicette and Dorante secretely court through messages left beneath a Cupid statue, but her colonel father initially resists their match. Cupid himself intercedes and wins him over, leading to the engagement, marriage, and eventual birth of a child. The film ends with the colonel falling asleep as he watches over his sleeping grandchild and Cupid approaches to gently craddle the baby.
