George Fall, on the brink of becoming broker of the year and cementing his reign for a decade, flirts with the limits of legality, committing a fatal error. Ruined, he seeks refuge in Janis, who shuns material possessions, and considers a change of life. However, his excessive greed drives him to create a new investment fund, attracting millions that displeases Lord Norman, an advocate of reasonable capitalism and his own interests.
