De Lange Tünn – Chicago am Rhein In post-war Germany, Cologne was the criminal metropolis par excellence. Murders, burglaries and brawls were the order of the day: The tabloid press dubbed the city Chicago on the Rhine. Pimping and gambling flourished in Germany's hippest nightlife. Cologne was home to the "Stenze", girls from the Levve, the rich and famous money lenders and contract rackets. And no one knew them better than Anton Claaßen, scene name: "Der Lange Tünn".
