Zhang He and Ling Fei, a once-happy couple, face challenges after the Charming Angel Competition. Ling Fei catches the eye of her boss, Li Kai, while Zhang He falls into financial ruin, owing a large debt. When he disappears to escape the loan sharks, Ling Fei is left with no choice but to be with Li Kai to repay the debt. Years later, Zhang He returns, but he soon realizes that love, once lost, cannot be regained.
