9-year-old Frederikke is on her way to her mom's place for the weekend. She is looking forward to spending time with her mom, but unfortunately the weekend doesn't quite turn out as expected. Mom has a new boyfriend, and it seems there is no longer any space for Frederikke - even her room is packed with the boyfriend's stuff! Mom and her boyfriend argue a lot, and Frederikke is left all on her own. Luckily, she can play with the dog Buster, and together they prepare a surprise for her mom.
