Avi Malka (Danny Steg), a 32-year-old divorcee, is a junior officer at a rear base who has never managed to advance in the army or muster the courage to retire to civilian life. Avi's greatest love is his 9-year-old son Ron, whom he tries to teach to be tough and get by in life. Ron, who admires his father and is afraid of disappointing him, does not tell him that he is being beaten and blackmailed at school.
