This exhibition is intended to review the contribution made by noted curator, artist and art critic Virginia Pérez-Rattón (b. San José, Costa Rica 1950-2010) from a number of facets: her own artwork, her projects as a curator both working independently and with institutions, and her constant collaboration with women artists, writers, thinkers and curators. The exhibitions underlines how her work transformed the ways of reading and writing about the region, in dialogue with the global debates and realities. Perez Ratton, founded in 1994 the Museo de Arte y Diseño (MADC), and the editorial TEOReTica, amongst other spaces of cultural promotion for the Central American and Caribbean regions.
