KANDINSKY. PEQUEÑOS MUNDOS
Wassily Kandinsky
The first individual exhibition in Mexico of one of the greatest exponents of abstractionism, Russian artist Vasili Kandinsky. The exhibition explores the evolution of one of the most emblematic artists of the 20th century who would eventually be awarded the nickname "Father of Abstraction" and discover his controversial plastic approaches that today continue to generate debates about the nature of art. The exhibition included musical approaches to the kinesthetic art of Kandinsky with some contemporary composers of the artist, such as Wagner, Rachmaninoff and Schöenberg. Includes works from the collections of The State Tretyakov Gallery, The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Centre Georges Pompidou de París, The Solomon R. Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Nueva York and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, amongst others.
