Hedi Quade décide de se tuer avec ses enfants, Lara et Ryan, en apprenant la mort de son mari emprisonné pour avoir assassiné sa maîtresse. Les deux enfants s'en sortent indemnes malgré les cicatrices morales et physiques. Vingt ans ont passé et Lara reçoit une invitation pour un concert. L'auteur de cette invitation envahit son espace privé et connaît tout de sa vie, il s'agit de son demi-frère.
